Apron Control Schiphol to move from the dome at pier D to the LVNL Tower.

Hessing Telecommunication BV has now completed the project to move the Apron Controllers and Boarding Gate Planners from the dome in pier D to the 10th floor of the LVNL Tower. The new operations room will include 4 positions for the Apron Controllers and 2 positions for the Boarding Gate Planners. Each operator will have a touch display with which to control the integrated communication system. Within this system, the various means of communication will be integrated into a single operating screen.

The Schiphol Tower project includes the supply, installation, operational delivery and maintenance of a complete communications system and will consist of:

- 6 operating positions, including consoles
- 5 transmitter/receivers
- 5 telephone lines
- 25 intercom stations
- A central comserver
