Operations Room KLM City Hopper

Hessing Telecommunications has constructed a new Operations Room for KLC-UK. The communications system integrates phone and VHF operating into a single operator position. The operation room consists of 5 operator positions, with a total of 16 phone lines and 3 VHF channels.

The advantage for KLC-UK is the option (in contradiction to the previous situation) of combining the 3 VHF channels on one operator position during off-piek hours. This means that one operator can control all radio communication, without running from position to position.

Furthermore Hessing created an option to make a 6 person conference call from one operator position. This used to be a rented service from the United Kingdom. The discontinuing of the conference call service is a considerable saving on the annual budget of KLC-UK:

- 5 operating positions including Touchscreen
- 16 phone lines
- Mixing of a maximum of 6 phone lines
- 6 Hotlines
- Internal Intercom between operator
- 3 VHF Radio channels
- Phonebook and speed dial from Touchscreen
- Computers in central cabinet via KVM, Keyboard Video and Mouse extenders
